Collections is where trust is won or lost
Customers in arrears are often stressed. How you contact them, when, and what you say matters to outcomes and to regulators. Automation helps with scale and consistency, but only if it stays inside tight rules.
The EAIBAP banking and collections pack combines identity verification before disclosure, approved contact windows, a clear policy on what the AI may and may not say, and escalation paths for disputes, hardship and vulnerability. Balances and due dates always come from your authoritative system.
Pains this pack addresses
Application drop-off
Applicants stall without timely, helpful follow-up.
Contact-rule risk
Calls outside approved windows, repeated contact and disclosure to the wrong person create regulatory exposure.
Hard cases handled badly
Disputes, hardship and vulnerable customers need people, not scripts.
What you can automate
Application follow-up
Remind applicants about missing documents and book appointments.
Payment reminders
Reminders based on due dates and status read from your payment or core system.
Promise-to-pay
Record the customer’s stated promise as a promise, schedule a check and follow up if it is missed.
Prioritization
Order work by rules you define, such as stage, amount band and contact history.
Reconciliation
Compare outcomes with your payment system and retain exceptions for review.
Escalation
Route disputes, hardship, complaints and legal-representation cases to trained staff with context.
Example journeys
| Journey | How it runs |
|---|---|
| Payment reminder | Read due date → contact-window and suppression check → verify identity → remind → offer options → log outcome |
| Promise-to-pay | Record promise and date → wait → check payment system → follow up or close → report |
| Dispute or hardship | Detect → stop automated contact → hand to trained agent with summary → track resolution |
| Application follow-up | Detect missing item → remind → book appointment → notify relationship manager |
Frequently asked questions
Is the AI allowed to threaten or pressure customers?
No. Scripts are approved, prohibited behavior is defined in policy and agent versions are tested before use. Compliance with collections rules still depends on your configuration and oversight.
Does it work with our core banking system?
Typically through its API or an integration layer. Source-of-truth rules for each field are agreed before launch.
Can it take payments?
EAIBAP does not process payments. Payments should be made through your own payment systems and links, and outcomes reconciled afterwards.
